Brother Alban has a great love of American history and particularly treasures the patriotic instruction sessions of SUVCW meetings. His family respects military service and he is proud of his grandfather's service in the 82nd Airborne during the Korean War and his two uncles' 82nd Airborne and Army Infantry service in the1980s - 90s. On the British side, his great-grandfather, Sir Richard Denby, served with the Green Howards in the second World War and was on General Eisenhower's staff as a military secretary at Allied Force HQS, North Africa.
In addition to his membership in the SUVCW, he also has family history when it comes to the organization. His Great-grandmother, Sister Florence, was National President of the Auxiliary to the SUVCW and his mother, Sarah, and sister, Carys, are members-at-large of the Auxiliary attached to McClellan Camp #91, Department of Ohio.
