The Major General Judson Kilpatrick Camp No.7, headquartered in the Town of Cary, is named for H. Judson Kilpatrick who served the Union throughout the Civil War, including as General William T. Sherman’s cavalry commander during the March to the Sea, and the Carolinas Campaign.

On December 11, 2021, Commander-in-Chief Michael Paquette presented a new Charter to Major General Judson Kilpatrick Camp No. 7 in Cary, North Carolina. Two Sisters of the Auxiliary also attended, and the guest speaker was historian Earnest Dollar. The Camp is named in honor of the Union cavalry commander Major General Judson Kilpatrick. Charter members; Max Speers, PDC, & Michael, Patrick & Dale McRitchie were unable to attend the presentation.

Major General Judson Kilpatrick Camp No 7 chose Friends of Fort Fisher as the recipient of their 2025 donation. The donation is being used to purchase and install a six foot memorial bench on the walking trails at the fort.
