The 18th Annual Department of NC Encampment was held May 10, 2025 in Cary, NC at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center. The Encampment was hosted by the SUVCW Department of North Carolina.

A special thank you to Town of Cary, NC Mayor Harold Weinbrecht who sent a welcome letter to the Encampment which was read during the meeting.
The 17th Annual Department of North Carolina Encampment was held May 4, 2024. The event was held in Cary, NC at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center.

The 15th Annual Department of North Carolina Encampment was held May 7, 2022. The event was held in Fayetteville, NC at the Fayetteville Independent Light Infantry Armory.

The 14th Annual Department of North Carolina Encampment was held on May 1, 2021. The Encampment was an electronic meeting via Zoom due to Covid-19 restrictions, and in accordance with General Order No. 1 from Commander-in-Chief Brian Pierson.
National guests who were present during the Zoom meeting included Senior Vice Commander-in-Chief Michael Paquette and Henry Duquette, PCC from the National Council of Administration.
The Encampment was organized by the Department of NC.
The 13th Annual Department of North Carolina Encampment was held May 16, 2020. The Encampment was an electronic meeting via Zoom due to the Covid-19 mandates by the Governor of North Carolina, and in accordance with General Order 17 from Commander-in-Chief Edward J. Norris.
National guests who were present during the Zoom meeting included Commander-in-Chief Ed Norris, Past Commander-in-Chief Mark Day and Bruce Frail, PDC, member of the National Council of Administration.
Senior Vice Commander Ed Gibson, PCC, presided in the absence of the outgoing Department Commander who chose not to participate in the Encampment electronic meeting.
The Encampment was organized by the Department of NC.
The 12th Annual Department of North Carolina Encampment was held on May 4, 2019 at the First Lutheran Church in Lexington, NC. Our National guest was Brother Bruce Frail, PDC of the National Council of Administration.

The Encampment was hosted by the Department of NC with help from Ruger Camp No. 1 and North Carolina Union Volunteers No. 5 and held at Fort Fisher National Historical Landmark at Kure Beach, NC. Twenty-One Brothers of the SUVCW attended the event.

The 7th Annual Department of NC Encampment was held April 12, 2014 at the Hampton Inn in New Bern, NC.
The Encampment was hosted by the NC Union Volunteers Camp No. 5.
A ceremony (pictured left) honoring Isaac Powell was held after the Encampment at the Greenwood Cemetery in New Bern, NC. He was the first African American to head a Grand Army of the Republic post in the South.
